From 2000 Mediawave Festival organises a music section with many workshops. In this section we are inviting musicians from different countries to take part in a workshop. At the begining the workshops were lead by world famous artists like William Parker, Hamid Drake, Rob Brown and talented musicians from Hungary and from the sorrounding countries took part. Then, we worked out various ways to let talented young musicians get in touch and work together with veteran musicians to let them develop their talents. As the young artists get acquainted with the different ways of composition and different forms of instrumentation not only in theory but in practise as well they skills in music will develope fast. From the autumn of 2007 the Musical Workshops in Rómer House serve for this developement.
