Basketball. Training and tough encounters in the gym. Sounds of strange songs, a chaotic mixture of steps, the squeaking sneakers and short bounces of the ball. Movements are memorized, combinations rehearsed. The next game is decisive.

„Tomorrow-Yeah!“ was awarded with a special mention from the BMW Group’s promotion award during „Film+08“, the 8th Forum for the art of film editing and montage in Cologne.

Daniela ABKE

Born in Westphalia. Apprenticeship in industrial management. University studies and graduation in Music and Fine Arts. In 1997, she creates her own production company. Realisation, production and editing of award-winning short films (GO TO SHANGHAI, SCHNEEWEISS). Nominations and Prizes include : Nomination for Best Short Film of the German Filmprize, Best German Short Film at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Film Grant of the Land of Lower Saxony, research grant for Paris from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). She finished postgraduate studies cum laude at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. She lives and works in Paris and Cologne.
